About Me
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the School of Population and Public Health and Postdoctoral Teaching Fellow in the Department of Psychology at the University of British Columbia. I am also a Junior Research Scientist with the BC Mental Health & Addiction Services, an agency of the Provincial Health Services Authority. I obtained a B.A. (Honors) in Psychology from the University of Guelph in 2003, and M.A. and Ph.D. degrees with a specialization in Forensic Psychology from Simon Fraser University in 2005 and 2008, respectively.
Forensic Psychology refers broadly to the ways in which the scientific fields of psychology and law interact with one another. My research examines various topics at the nexus of these two fields, including partner violence, jury knowledge and decision making, witness and victim memory, perceptions of persons with severe mental illness, violence risk assessment, and deception.
